St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) is proud to announce our newest Catch Us Giving winners with nominations that included rescuing bags at the last minute, helping passengers make last minute connections, getting through difficult security screening, and looking for relatives after a cancelled flight. Jeff Miller (United Airlines), Michael Cannon (ABM), Peggy McKinnon (American Airlines), Jason Romero (American Airlines), Tiara Bost (Hudson News), and Timothy Swafford (TSA) were all selected for providing outstanding customer service to travelers and guests at STL in the second quarter of 2019. Among the nominations, Timothy Swafford with TSA was recognized for his calm, professional demeanor while helping a passenger traveling without proper identification. The passenger who nominated Timothy said, “He was very professional, courteous and transparent. I really appreciate his actions and demeanor (treating me like a real person).”
Tiara Bost with Hudson was chosen for letting a passenger use her personal cell phone after the passenger’s own cell phone was left in his sister’s car. Tiara also continued to try and reach his family while the traveler checked in for his flight, ultimately leading to the return of his cell phone. The passenger noted this in her nomination, “She kept a calm sense and took control of my high stressed situation and it all ended up good! Can’t thank Tierra enough for her help!”
The Catch Us Giving customer service recognition program was developed exclusively for St. Louis Lambert International Airport and its facility partners. The program encourages the public to “catch” Airport employees giving great customer service and nominate them for customer service awards.
The Catch Us Giving program received over 1,200 nominations in 2018. More than 500 employees from over 30 companies were nominated. From these nominations, 28 quarterly winners were chosen in 2018. A committee representing tenants, airlines, concessions and other service providers chooses the quarterly winners and the Ambassador of the Year. All Catch Us Giving nominees are eligible to attend a year-end celebration, with live music, food, and entertainment.
