Kansas Connection: STL Photo of the Week
Posted on June 28, 2019 in
St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) is no stranger to Honor Flights. STL is lucky to have been a part of numerous honor flights from The Greater St. Louis Honor Flight, Franklin County Honor Flight, and Central Missouri Honor Flight. On Wednesday, June 26 STL was honored to be a part of The Kansas Honor Flight. During their connection at STL from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) members of the Kansas Honor Flight were met with beverages, donuts, and friendly volunteers from the USO of Missouri while they waited for their flight to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Veterans were treated to a three-day, all expense paid trip to Washington, DC. While there, they will visit the memorials built to honor their service in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
