As the summer travel season is in full gear, so is St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). STL has logged 46 straight months of passenger growth with the completion of the 2019 Fiscal Year in June. STL served over 15.8 million passengers in FY19, that’s nearly 673,000 more passengers than in FY18 - a four percent growth. Originating (local) traffic is also up to levels not seen since 2000, accounting for 77 percent of all enplanements. FY19 saw the arrival of two new airlines at STL, Sun Country and Contour. Non-stop destinations were also expanded, and some existing routes were upgraded to mainline aircraft, meaning more passengers. Airlines at STL average 253 daily departures, which will peak this month at 258, with service to 70 non-stop destinations. Wherever you’re heading this summer, STL is huSTLing to get you there.
