Standing Guard: STL Photo of the Week

Posted on July 27, 2018 in

It has been a very presidential few weeks for St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). Just one week after Vice President Mike Pence visited STL, Air Force One, carrying President Donald Trump, arrived at STL from Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ). Because Air Force One is a call sign used for any Air Force aircraft the president is traveling on, the specific aircraft used can vary. Most often, a Boeing VC-25 is used to transport the president. However, on Thursday, Air Force One became a Boeing C-32, a modified version of a Boeing 757-200. This was President Trump’s third visit to STL. He previously visited the St. Louis area on November 29, 2017 and March 14, 2018.
