Three Straight Years: STL Photo of the Week

What do you get when you combine a peak summer travel month, a new destination from St. Louis and a once-in-a-generation national sporting event in St. Louis? You get an even bigger boost in passengers. St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) recorded a 6.8 percent increase in total passengers in August versus the same time period a year ago. August is typically a high-travel month. Plus, Southwest Airlines launched new sevice to Hartford, CT (BDL). And St. Louis was the host site for the PGA Championship at Bellerive, which certainly helped fuel travel to and from our area.  STL surpassed serving 10 million passengers this past month- 10,408,575 to be exact. That’s 592,177 more than the first eight months of 2017. In fact, with the August numbers, STL has seen growth every month for three straight years. 2018 is definitely huSTLing.
