Local artist Jeremy Rabus installs his new exhibtion, Livery, at St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

As the colors of summer shift to fall, so too does the artwork at St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). St. Louis artist Jeremy Rabus' Livery is the newest art exhibit at STL. Rabus uses an intuitive process of layering acrylic paint on panels then grinding into the paint with a power sander, revealing new textures, brushstrokes, and conversations between the colors that tell the painting’s story. Inspired by the colorful livery of the airplanes he watched fly over his grandfather’s backyard as a child, Livery fuses the past and present through the texture and varying depths of acrylic paint. Rabus’ work evokes a sense of belonging among chaos and allows the viewer to appreciate the past while simultaneously looking toward the future. Livery is on display now through April 21, 2019 near the A Concourse entrance in Terminal 1 as part of the Lambert Art and Culture Program’s temporary exhibitions program.
